Hitherto found expressing himself musically with rappers in tow, Woxow reinvents himself on his forthcoming Tape Reset EP and has just popped out the first single entitled Birth. So what is this reinvention, you’re thinking? Well, our man has decided to head for soundscape territory – all mellow beats and sampled vocals from old flicks and archive video. Er – sounds a lot like some of the stuff that used to get called trip-hop, right? Well, that was a broad-ish church but, yeah, basically. One thing’s for certain – the slo-mo rolling drum-break, ambient bird sounds and vocal samples on this one should ensure you properly get your chill on.
