If you’d been wondering what had happened to DJ Pnutz in the last few months since February’s Valentine release Heart Beats, wonder no longer for she is back with a new 45 – Dance Until You Drop b/w Dolby Decibel System. And if you’re thinking ‘those track titles sound a bit familiar’ it’s because they appeared on last year’s Music Beds For Different Moods LP. But then, if you suddenly get the chance to put out a 45, do you go for the candlelit smoothie sample flips off your last release or do you go for double dancefloor damage from the release before that? It’s the latter of course! Hence this treat for b-boys and girls. Both cuts are uptempo and funky – the former toting a bit of an old school big beat vibe; the latter having more of a spy funk feel while each one is a totally unique colour. And who’s going to argue with that?
