The very label they founded now delves deep into Skeewiff’s back catalogue to meet the insatiable demands of the seven inch-buying public. And it turns out they’ve struck double cheeky old gold to boot. Enter, by way of an A-side, the 2001 released 12″ B-side edit of Ken Woodman & His Picadilly Brass’s Mexican Flyer in all its ‘tropical jazz meets garage rock breaks’ glory. Blimey – and it’s not even the best cut. Nope – that honour goes to the actual B-side of this release which formerly saw the light of day as the A-side of 2007’s The Orphans EP. That’s right, Skeewiff’s excellent breakbeat edit of Tanya Tucker’s country gospel soul number Delta Dawn is now available on vinyl 45 – let me hear you say ‘hallelujah!’
