[RATING: 5] You might not have heard of Edith Peters – actress and one time member of the Peters Sisters but as part of the sisters she made at least two appearances at the Cotton Club in the 40s – once with Cab Calloway and once with Duke Ellington. Following that, the sisters toured Europe in the 50s and had novelty hits knocking out vocal harmonies in an Andrews Sisters stylee. Precisely none of which information will prepare you for the swirling psychedelic wah-wah guitar and horns ambush of 1973 gospel soul number This Is The Moment (penned by Italian jazz legend Sante Palumbo for a solo Edith Peters) which itself will barely prepare you for Gerardo Frisina’s scorching Gamm-style psychedelic soul n bass edit which forms the A-side of this massive seven inch release.
