Some righteously thunderous dub reggae on the new Mykal Rose and Subatomic Sound single featuring Hollie Cook entitled Get High. A reggae artist singing ‘Get high’? I wonder what he’s on about. I mean with the price of flights these days, surely he can’t mean get in an aircraft? But what’s left – to climb a mountain or a skyscraper? Maybe Hollie Cook can shed some light on things though I’m not sure how much that would help – after all, her contribution is some ethereal barely-there background vocalising – she’s practically out of it. Hmm, tricky – perhaps the lyrics might provide a clue – lots of stuff about ‘herbs’ and ‘weed’ – maybe Rose is a keen gardener – an anthem to spring perhaps, as life returns to the garden. Yep, that must be it.
