JUNIOR FLAMES: Why You Haffi Break My Heart? (Vinyl 7″)

More top boss reggae action from the Original Gravity stable in this latest vinyl 7″ Why You Haffi Break My Heart from ‘Junior Flames’ – a.k.a. – yep, you guessed it, label owner and multi-instrumentalist Neil Anderson in company of a session singer. Anderson is so productive if he’s not careful he’ll precipitate yet another wave of ska-early-reggae influenced music all on his own. The time is ripe after all what with a resurgence of northern soul movement having laid the groundwork in the clubs and early-80s set Two Tone drama This Town screening on the Beeb. As usual this single more than ably captures the spirit of ’69 and is accompanied on its B-side by an organ-drenched instrumental versioning from ‘Woodfield Rd Allstars’ (yes, Anderson again) Skinheads Dem A Stomp.
(Out on/around 20 April on Original Gravity Records)
