Leak alert! Shady stateside rap shinobi, Lone Ninja, will be dropping his next LP (and sequel to last year’s Rogue Agent) Trapdoors And Secret Passageways – in just under two months. Somewhere between DOOM and the Wu-Tang Clan, rocking a drawling delivery over lo-fi, kung fu flick-inspired beats, the album promises to be a rare treat – if this leak and past efforts are anything to go by. Think I’m shitting you about the Wu/DOOM thing? Check out the Youtube video of Warpath below. I say video – it’s just audio and a pic of the LP cover. Which consists solely of a feudal Japanese castle in mist, a ‘Parental Advisory’ sticker and no writing whatsoever. But then what manner of fool expects to be provided with gratuitous information by a covert lyrical assassin?

LONE NINJA sounds nothing like doom or anyone from the wu. Doom and others like him are supremely inferior to LONE NINJA’s lyrical ability, style & vast vocabulary. One would have to listen to appreciate the great attention to detail that goes in to LONE NINJA’s music. It is a whole new benchmark in rap/hip hop greatness.
