WBBL Ghetto Funk presents GFP019Another day, another wobble. I mean WBBL. A man named after one of the defining characteristics of the ghetto funk sound and who makes frequent use of both that and the other two i.e. crunchy breaks and choice samples – here exemplified in this four tracker. Amid the grind on Stephen!, appears to be a chopped up bit of Will Smith’s Wild Wild West, there’s some vintage mambo action on Mambo and is that a bit of Ludacris I detect in the B-Side-featuring Wooaahhhh? There’s also time for a glitch blues tribute to the most populous urban area on the Isle Of Wight – Ryde. I might have made the very last bit of that up…
