There’s still mileage yet in a nicely done hip-hop edit featuring classic 90s acapellas and Wack 21 is an object lesson in how to do it. Up for a makeover are Craig Mack’s Flava In Ya Ear and Eric B & Rakim’s Don’t Sweat The Technique. Frezidente slightly extends the latter and uses the same Kool & The Gang Give It Up sample as Eric B though arguably improving on the original beat by ditching the other sample from Young-Holt Unlimited. Smoove meanwhile uses a totally different sample to original producer Easy Mo Bee with something altogether phatter and punchier. The new version is an absolute beast and gold certified dancefloor sureshot.

I really hope they release this as a digital download as I would buy this in a second.. Not all of us have turntables or can afford £15 for a 7″ record every time we like a tune.
