Look out – it’s the latest delivery of reggae booty bombs from Little Beat More imprint Uluru which delivers another classic pair of unofficial reggae rerubs. First up is one from long-time don of the reggae cheeky version, Jstar himself, who weighs in with Survivor – a track sure to punch above its weight on the dancefloor by splicing the Rocky theme to a digi-dub riddim. Risin’ up to the challenge on the flip however are The Dynamates (a.k.a. The Rebel and Dibba) with what they’ve named YGTL. Presumably they didn’t have the love they needed to see them through to writing out the whole title of this rootsy dub rerub of a certain Candi classic. Either that or they’d already lit up and after inhaling, it was a bridge too far since the track was already finished and – well – dope. The latter is also versioned as a vocal-free riddim. Don’t ever say Uluru doesn’t sort you right out!
