(PRESS RELEASE) Following the success of The History of Silence EP, the Scottish production duo have wasted no time in unleashing the dancehall monster ‘Don Man Sound’ on the world. ‘Invade The Carnival’ includes the party smashing original mix as well as a selection of remixes that are sure to kick hard in DJ sets from top to bottom and side to side.
Kicking off with Capitol 1212’s own alternative take, remixed in tribute to their favourite ragga sound-system, Big Toes Hi-Fi, it takes in sounds and samples from classic reggae to spaghetti westerns, making sure you’re skanking in from front to back. Next up comes a version courtesy of everyone’s favourite reggae and hip hop party DJ, J-Star. Not only has been touring with Major Lazer, recently he’s been on official remix duty for DJ Vadim, Mark Ronson and Madness. Here he brings his dub orchestra sounds to the table and delivers a gem of a remix to help kick the label off in style.
Finally we have a remix from rising star J-Bostron. Known for his ragga drum & bass work outs as well as future dub and dubstep beats as G31, here he takes both styles and mixes them into an almighty hybrid that will devesate dance floors for time to come.
