Back with the second single for the fourth instalment of his and producer Rico James Righteous Gemstones series, it’s MRKBH. Entitled ARKITEKT, it finds our man holding forth over a dreamy slice of boom-bap (courtesy of James) about the sort of topics frequently the province of Del The Funky Homosapien – to wit all-powerful AI, consciousness-altering technology and nefarious super-rich human operators of such. If it is delivered in a somewhat more portentous manner than Del it is surely only better fitted to our benighted times. I wonder though – can we get some visuals? Bit of Ghost in the Shell – bit of Akira, a dash of The Matrix? Yep that should do it!
