[RATING: 5] Well Nick can certainly take pride in his Pimptones for this one as the band (that’ll be Nick Pride & The Pimptones, obviously) hook up with guest chanteuse Susan Hamilton for super sweet slice of uptempo latter-day blue-eyed soul Take Care Of My Love. The single comes backed with Everything’s Better In The Summertime (which appeared on Record Kicks’ 10th Anniversary album) and is supported by a retro black and white video of two lovers having a tiff. My favourite bits are when the band appear in miniature and for a second it’s like a Motown version of Grandpa In My Pocket. Which won’t mean a fucking thing to anyone who doesn’t have pre-school child. Not the shrinking guitar Nick! Catch them if you can…
