I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time I’ve said something along the lines of ‘this is the best boss reggae cut that’s ever come out on the Original Gravity’ and I’m fairly certain it’s not even the second. The thing is…the stuff just keeps getting better. And new Boss Foundation cut Henchman is – well – the best one yet. It’s not even a vocal track, just straight up Hammond-led, uptempo boss reggae with enough wiggle in it to qualify as funky reggae and richocheting bullet sounds that give it a certain The Harder They Come feel. And if it doesn’t get you moving with a smile on your face, you’re dead below the waist. No, really. On the flip, the more sedate Pressure (Version) – offers a more chilled but no less groovy sound. Oh yes – and who are Boss Foundation? None other than the outfit you have hitherto known as Woodfield Road All Stars. Why the name change? Let’s just say that they could have been called Orange Street Allstars and some people still wouldn’t catch the vibe.
