Toronto-base emcee Odario returns on a Chaix beat for Double Up, once again in the company of UK dub legend Mad Professor. The track forms something of a follow-up to March’s The Situation featuring Mad Professor and Yolanda Sargeant and once again finds our man at the epicentre of an epic clash between hip-hop’s chunk and dub’s FX-laden stylings. The title partly refers to Odario’s love for an work within his two favourite musical genres but also for an uncompromising approach to life and work. Though the official release of this single is 17 October, the spiel on Odario’s Bandcamp suggests that the version currently up there and available at the moment is a work in progress. Album Good Things Take Time follows some time next year.
