In which the prolific Dirty Dubsters drop yet another monstrous reggae/ hip-hop hybrid by working their bass magic on the evergreen Stalag Riddim, inviting DJ Mek to pull out his best cuts and getting Gang Starr/ Jeru Tha Damaja homie Afu Ra to spit some ‘real shit’ on top. Which he does. Then, over on the flip, Pimpsoul gives it a wobbly ghetto funk re-work. ‘Stalag’ of course was the abbrevation by which German POW camps were known during WWII but did you know there was a whole sub-genre of Israeli porn in the sixties which revolved around sadistic sex acts between female SS officers and POWs? Filthy. A bit like this really. Cop it on wax soon.
