PARLOR GREENS: Driptorch b/w 200 Dollar Blues (Vinyl 7″)

One for those who dig 60s and 70s jazz-funkstrumentals, it’s Parlor Greens first 45 release since the release of their sold-out debut LP In Green We Dream. The A-side is LP opener Driptorch by Parlor Greens – an incendiary slab of hefty drum crunch, ominipresent ride cymbal, scorching organ vamps and chugging bass. On the flip it’s all about 200 Dollar Blues – the band’s first new track since the album. A bluesy shuffle, it finds guitar player Jimmy James’ it out head-to-head with Adam Scone on keys and I don’t think there’ll be too many complaints about that.
