A little less than a month since the debut single by F-Spot Records kingpin Cecilio (a.k.a. David Michale Celia) and it’s time for next single Billboards. Advertised in the PR as, “slightly cinematic, slightly boom-bap,” the stress is arguably on the ‘cinematic’ since the drum-break gives everything else plenty of room to breathe. And while previous single Cash High featured a 40-piece orchestra, this one finds our Dave playing everything himself building the track from an initial mess around on a Wurlitzer and resulting in an evocative piece of retro soundtrack/ library-style business. Like Cash High, Billboards will appear on Cecilio’s LP due early 2027.
