BROTHER ALI: D.R.U.M.

As heralded by his rather good Satisfied Soul EP at the end of November, Brother Ali has a new album on the way bearing the same name and from which all the EP’s tracks were lifted. Before that drops next month though, here’s another single also taken from the album, D.R.U.M.. Once again (as indeed the whole album does) it features soulful production from erstwhile labelmate and the production half of hip-hop duo Atmosphere. With lyrical content that is part autobiographical and part celebration of the unifying power of rhythm, the new single is socially conscious and uplifting in that typical Brother Ali way.
