THE WINSTON BROTHERS: Get On Down

The second single this year from Hamburg-based funk outfit The Winston Brothers is Get On Down and while it finds them firmly in the instrumental funk territory of its predecessor Rolling, it is markedly more uptempo. From the off, it’s a guitar chanking, horn-stabbing beast grounded in absolutely rock solid percussion recalling that of The Mighty Mocambos. Second LP Sweets follows in November.
