Chicago producer Spectacular Diagnostics (who MB Regulars will recognise from his partnership with Kid Acne over the last few years) here brings together legendary emcees from both sides of the pond on new track If Not Now. The beat is a sedate and tonally introspective head-nod affair that gives our mic heroes plenty of room to swing a rhyme. It falls to Boston’s unmistakable Mr Lif to pick up the baton of the track’s carpe diem-theme, pass it to UK-legend Jehst, who seems no less concerned about the world’s status quo, while it’s down to Illogic to take things to the finish line. If Not Now will appear on forthcoming Spec. Diagnostics-produced long player, Blah Records Presents: Sorcery which also features a varied line-up of emcees from the US and UK, among other countries.
