The first single to be released off the forthcoming Keep It To Yourself long player by Dutch band The Tibbs is this – Ain’t It Funny. A horns-heavy soul stomper, the track was mastered in Nashville by Bob Ohlsson (a veteran who once cut vinyl for Motown) and finds singer Roxanne Hartog pondering how much of a difference one person can make in a world full of massive problems. Blimey. What about a video? How about the band playing live, Hartog front and centre surrounded by unforgiving existential blackness? Yep, that should do it. Comes with with lively shuffler Give Me A Reason on the flip.
