The Party People’s bass funky single Set It Off came out in April and in its original guise was characterised by any amount of farty bass wobble stylings. Now it’s the turn of the remix package however on which Beat Le Juice, WBBL, Roast Beatz and The Allergies’ DJ Moneyshot all have a crack at the whip. The first two stay closer to the original stylistically while Roast Beatz goes full bass house mode so it’s Moneyshot’s remix that really sets things off at MB Towers by ditching anything wobble-related entirely and setting off for the land of 90s-style hip-hop with a fat organic drum break totally reinventing things in the best possible way – the sort of thing you want on 45 really – maybe someone will step up on that front. Altogether now – ‘It ain’t a party till the booty drop!’ Doesn’t seem to be a discrete player for this so it’s all about the Juno one – make sure you skip to the Moneyshot mix now!
