The second of today’s ‘should have been a Gamm edits drop’ is Papa Had Some Disco Bones a.k.a. a classy disco reboot of Temptations classic Papa Was A Rolling Stone no less. It’s minimal mirrorball stylings a-go-go then as the The Dropshop reigns in the psychedelic soul excess of The Temptations’ twelve minute album version and applies the sort of four to the floor percussion that would never have been considered for the Temptations version or The Undisputed Truth’s forgotten original.
