ORI KAPLAN & LIHU MELAMED feat. TAMIR MUSKAT: The Stroll

If your thing is expansive and richly orchestrated late sixties/ early seventies film scores, The Stroll is yet another essential one for your collection. The track comes from the debut LP collaboration betweem Ori Kaplan and Lihu Melamed, Reverie which brings together Kaplan’s love of golden era cinematic soul and Kaplan’s penchant for psychedelic rock from the same era. Led by Kaplan’s flute, the track unfurls over a funky backbeat as strings and horns gradually enter the mix to provide something both epic and sun-drenched despite single and LP cover-art pitched somewhere between The Wicker Man and Metz’s Judderman. Reverie drops 12 June on Batov Records.
