If you dug the sixties soul-stylings of No No No, I’m So Broke, the last single on which German band Angels Of Libra teamed-up with singer Maiiah, you’re definitely going to dig new one Please Come Home. Similarly sixties-themed, the new one is less a stomper than a sultry R&B groover. Any chance of a video? There is! Cue sixties vintage footage of a man about his business in the big city intercut with scenes of Maiiah in a kitchen that last saw a makeover when TV was still black and white. Clearly driven to distraction by the loneliness, she’s on the fags, on the booze, doing the washing-up again with the camera lingering a beat too long on that carving knife and we’ve all learned a lesson about keeping a lady waiting.
