For one who once retired from the music biz as he felt his race was run Johnnypluse is still remarkably engaged with the music biz for it seems he has a new LP on the way. Album sampler number one (entitled Album Sampler Number One – because he’s such a kidder) is just out and the focus track is JP’s cover of Clash classic I Fought The Law. Not for our Johnny the trashy guitar chords of Mick and the bratty singing of Joe though. Nope, he’s running with a skeletal and altogether more chain-gang-esque slo-mo breakbeat and world weary vocal to soundtrack his own breakin’ rocks in the hot sun. His Save The Rich It’s Going To Rain album drops in October.
