THEE MARLOES: Logika

Yes, the monkey is wayyyy behind on this one as Thee Marloes’ followed previous single Midnight Hotline b/w Beri Cinta Waktu well over a month ago with more native Indonesian language singing on Logika. But in the intervening month and a half shit got real at MB Towers. Hopefully, things are now back on track now and no, you’re right, that title doesn’t sound very Indonesian does it? Rest assured though, the lyrics are. A smouldering organ groove provides a platform for singer Natassya Sianturi’s sweet emoting for what tonally indicates perhaps a break-up song. Though having said that it says here in the PR that, “this gentle, retro, organ-pushed groove simmers like a last dance for all days, while possessing a certain sense of forbidden glamour.” ‘Forbidden glamour’ eh? What exactly is in those lyrics? Enquiring minds want to know!
