Hello – what’s this – disco-boogie number Violet Hour off Smoove & Turrell’s recent Red Ellen album getting remix and from Max Sedgley no less! And disco-boogie fans will certainly be happy (bit of Max Sedgley-based humour their – thank you, I’m here all week!) to hear this one since our Max has taken the disco-boogie stylings of the original and increased them. Now a slightly denser mix with the addition of lashings of boogie synth, Sedgley ensures it’s ladies night for even longer too – his mix is over six minutes long! Radio jockeys will be pleased to hear that it comes with a radio edit that is merely seconds longer than the original at just under three and a half minutes while live blending and mash-up bandits will be overjoyed to discover there’s also an instrumental six minute version too. Less, Violet Hour than ‘Happy’ hour then – oohh – and that same bit of Max Sedgley-based humour for the second time in a single post!
