It was only a minute ago (28 July!) that Mr Doris and D-Funk’s Feel Good/ Back In The Day single was out so there’s been a swift turnaround on this remix package – almost as if it were planned! And they’ve certainly pulled in the heavyweight allies for the remix by getting Krafty Kuts, thatmanmonkz, Smoove and George Solar on board. Taking on the midtempo synth-funk powered boom-bap of Feel Good first is Krafty who ups the funk quotient with some squelchy wah-wah, a looser, crunchier drum break and arguably even more booming bass. Thatmanmonkz also tackles the same track, reducing the vocals to the odd loop and pairing a pumping four-to-the-floor beat with synths and looped ambience. Back In The Day gets transformed into a dub-laced slice electronica by George Solar and a super heavyweight early 90s-style hip-hop bomb by Smoove on arguably the best of the four.
