Did you know it’s been twenty five years since the release of Ultramagnetic MCs‘ classic LP Critical Beatdown? Well it is – and the band (or Kool Keith, Ced Gee and TR Love, at least) will be touring Europe as the Ultramagnetic MCs this summer for the first time since 1988! Can it get any better? Er – well they’ve got some new material on the way as it goes – and the first track from these new sessions, Let The Bars Go, got aired today. You’ll find that embedded below and the tour dates below that. I can’t help noticing that they will be giving the second largest city in southern Britain i.e. Bristol, a miss but are visiting the vast Norfolk metropolis of Norwich. One presumes this is so they can be big shots on the east coast…
