Right then – enough of Christmas already – how about some more classy edit action from Echo Chamber Recordings in the form of The Preacher’s new 45? Let’s see now – what you’ve got there is your pneumatic gospel-jazzy A-side, Always There, and your B-side, The Blessing, pitting insane drumming against practically ambient jazzy chords again with a distinct whiff of the lord about it. Not to mention The Preacher having pulled a convincing four minute-plus track out of a considerably less than two-minute original for the latter. Well, your A-side is definitely for more conventional dancefloors; the B-side more the sort of thing you might throw down to put overweening b-boys and girls through the ringer. The Lord provides for every eventuality!
