Following previous successful team-ups with Dynamite MC, Bristol’s favourite funky breakbeat party starters The Allergies reunite with the veteran vocalist for at least the third time on new single – er – One Time. Billed aptly as a ‘bittersweet groove’ this lower mid-tempo number finds Dyna holding down the mic over a horns-and soul sample-drenched beat holding forth about what a great show the trio put on. Which they do. They also put out great albums and since this is the second recent single since their last LP that’s not on their last LP and the second with the same new graphic design theme – one suspects a new album will be announced in the not to distant future – an autumn drop perhaps? Or maybe early spring ’25…
