STABFINGER: Funkastick EP

STABFINGER: Funkastick EPSometime Prosper cohort Stabfinger jabs the air dancefloor-wards with new four tracker, Funkastick, on Breakbeat Paradise and orders one and all to throw some shapes as he feeds party breaks appetites everywhere. And this release is kind of like a sandwich. The bread (if you will) consists of the title track and opener which provides uptempo instro party breaks vibes with a Stax-ish vibe like wobble bass never happened and kindred spirit closer Disc Jockey which employs snippets of JB and Rakim. Meanwhile the filling is the Whodini-sampling, slightly wobbly Simple Et Fonky and Twenty Five Miles which gets rather closer to the heart of wobble-dom. It goes without saying that the monkey’s all about the bread on this one.
