Due very shortly from erstwhile ska and early reggae outfit Pama International is a stomping early sixties soul revue style-version of the ‘Stones I Can’t Get No Satisfaction backed on 7″ format with an arguably even better northern soul take on Marcia Griffiths’ rocksteady classic Feel Like Jumping. If you haven’t been getting any kind of soul joy lately, that should definitely put a spring in your step. It’s not as if this soul thing is completely out of character for the band anyway either since they started the year with Irma Thomas-ish single Stop The War On The Poor from subsequent album The Altruistic Soul Sound Of Pama International. And given how well they did with that, you’ll be pleased to hear that this is the lead single off Part Two of The Altruistic Soul Sound Of Pama International. Catch the band live at the tour dates below the players.
