I don’t think it’s possible to do this song badly is it? L’Anamour was originally Serge Gainsbourg’s so naturally he nailed it (ooh matron!), his sometime paramour Jane Birkin then had a go (really, matron!), followed by Francoise Hardy making it three of them (Matron!!!) and now Marina P is having a go with Bost & Bim at the same time (Matron explodes. No, not like that. For god’s sake get your minds out of the gutter!). P manages vocals in a way every bit as sultry as her predecessors but this time Bost & Bim have provided the track with a super sweet reggae rhythm for the first time turning it into your favourite new, erotically charged bit of…of course – lover’s rock!
