Lack Of Afro turns his hand to the smooth and the slinky on new single All Night – lifted from forthcoming long-player Square One, due this September. The spirit of late-70s soul is all-over this Commodores-ish affair with Jack Tyson-Charles’ on lead vocals. But what are those lyrics alluding to? It seems JTC is going to keep ‘us’ (presumably him and the missus) ‘winning all night’ but he’s also going to ‘get’ that ‘sweet-ass moneymaker all night,’ reminding her that, ‘if you snooze, you lose’ and adding not ‘to wait up.’ Plenty of gambling references then but are they metaphorical or literal? Is he talking about their relationship or wanting her out of the way while he plays the tables? Or the field? Who knows! One things for sure, the glitterball spins!
