GHOSTFACE KILLAH: 36 Seasons (2014)

36 Seasons Ghostface KillahIf you dig deft lyrical delivery of hard-boiled tales of double-crossing and revenge combined with 70s soul-influenced boom-bap production you’re going to shit when you hear that a certain legendary emcee has his thirteenth full length studio LP, 36 Seasons coming out next month. Wu are we talking about? Why Ghostface Killah of course – a.k.a Ghostface, Ironman and Tony Starks. The Wu-Tang rapper’s new LP is 14 tracks deep, features guest rap Kool G Rap, Pharoahe Monch and AZ, guest soul vocals from soul singers Rell, Tre Williams and Blue Note sauce bucket Kandace Springs and is produced by Brooklyn-based soul band/ production team The Revelations and Fizzy Womack – more usually known as Lil’ Fame from MOP. Naturally, said opus will be out on all formats but it’s already possible to pre-order the wax. Check out the latest leaks, the Wu-ish, AZ-featuring Double Cross, the doomy Kool G Rap/ AZ/ Tre Williams featuring opener The Battlefield and first leak, the more soulful Love Don’t Live Here Any More, the album sampler mixed by 7L and stream the whole LP at NPR HERE.
(Out 9 December on Tommy Boy)
