EMMA NOBLE: Emma Noble EP (Deluxe double Vinyl 7″)

Emma Noble EPThere’s no turning back for Emma Noble with the release of her blistering self-titled debut EP – not least of the reasons for which is uptempo fortune-seeking anthem and opener No Turning Back.  Out now on digital with the double vinyl 7″ format dropping at the start of March, the release also finds the UK soul chanteuse provide three other excellent reasons why the only way is forward. The first of these is Women Of The World, Noble’s loose n funky version of a Marvin Gaye rarity and tribute to the female empowerment while the last and best two are alternate versions of good-time anthem Table Dancers. In its original form, this latter is a bongo-tastic, 144 bpm mod-soul heater with crowd friendly lyrics and a hands-in-the-air refrain sure to encourage precisely the sort of behaviour being sung about. Besting even this though, is the Smoove remix which does all of the above with bells on (literally) along with extended sections and his trademark heavyweight drum breaks. Altogether now, “Better get up on tables, yeah!”
