This one’s been on the monkey’s most wanted list since it’s preview spin on Craig Charles’ Funky Future Releases Of 2024 (Part 1) show back in the early week’s of January. Why? Because DJ Tron has not only entered the ranks of those who have created a planet-sized banger in the reggae-hip-hop mash-up genre alongside such luminaries as JStar, Shepdog, DJ Maars and Smile Davis but he’s also managed to sample the thirteenth most sampled track ever in a way that keeps it fresh. In short, it’s a monster – while flip side Spice Girl is nothing to be sniffed at either. Of course, you wanna keep the sample police off your back and if there’s no hit, there’s no writ, so this bad boy is limited to 100 copies and the 50 copy green-wax run has already sold out on bandcamp. In fact, every piece of vinyl had already long out on Bandcamp before today’s release date. Copies still available at a few other places though so get your skates on!
