Take that Cut Chemist! Here’s Nu Mark with the best post-Jurassic 5 track that any of its former members have released with the possible exception of Chali 2Na’s Comin Thru. And who produced the beat on that? That’s right – DJ Nu Mark. And it’s hard to come more correct than he does on Dumpin’ Em All which features old school legend Freddie Foxxx, and finds the pair of them dropping the bomb. Classic fat beats, lyrical fire (“You ain’t a boss, y’all slavers/ Cause y’all punks signed a record deal for sexual favours”) and a blaxploitation video. It’s like the track that Pharaohe Monch hasn’t dropped on his last two LPs or something. I think many people might come a little bit on their first listen to this. It’s out on wax (a 10”) with a B side (When You Sleep featuring Large Professor next month and Nu Mark’s new album Broken Sunlight will be out later in the year.
