Hello. New Nu-Mark. It’s the third drop in the former J5 dj’s Broken Sunlight album series and the title cut is a re-edit of Ernie Hines’ classic seventies funk number Our Generation. Like the original, it kicks off with a couple of bars of dope funk rock riff but quickly settles into a mellow soul groove. If you’d prefer a bit more heat it’s over on the flip in the shape of a collabo with A-Skillz who is presumably responsible for adding bass wobble to the vocal soul samples and punchy break on The Fever thus engendering ‘ghetto’ soul. Or something. Comes correct on orange vinyl complete with drumapella, instrumental and acapella – or get on the free DL by handing over your email to your Uncle Nu below.
