DJ MOAR: Cumbia’s Beat / B-Batucada (2011)

More from Parisian funky breaks afficionado DJ Moar in the shape of this sweet little mid-tempo, latin b-boy breaks gem out (correctly) on seven inch at the start of next month. As the title might lead you to believe, this makes full use of a dusty old Cumbia track and some funky breaks that – as luck would have it – Moar just happened to have lying around. With the bonus latin beats of B-Batacuda on the flip, Cumbia’s Beat is definitely going to get the dancefloor frisky. One to file in the box next to Kuhjo’s forthcoming Habanera Swing, Andy Taylor’s Bank Of Panama and those latin-tinged tracks that Ugly Duckling occasionally like to sprinkle their albums with. And there’s an album on the way too!

PRESS RELEASE
DJ Moar is back with a new project! Crate digger for many years, curiosity has
always help discover the music world. A good fifteen years later and pounds of
disks and more, Moar decides to dip into its treasures forgotten or ignored by
his peers to give them a new life through a different vision of music in our own
time. Rhythms and effects intersect with arrangements which will direct the
key to the auditor, the deejay or a dancer. An album is coming in September
2011.
