Having successfully sold out a press and a re-press of his Toxic Funk Vol. 12 mash-up 45 which featured among its ingredients both Q-Tip (Breathe And Strut) and The Doors (Peace Dust), Dal Platinum’s release now gets an extended digital release featuring two extra tracks – Groove Like An Eagle and Turn It Like It’s Hot. The first of these gives a soul-funky breakbeat makeover to a certain Sophie Ellis-Bextor-featuring monster pop hit while the second maintains the smooth West Coast funky vibe to a certain Snoop n Pharrell-featuring monster hip-hop hit, eschewing the minimalism of the original beat for something altogether more layered.
