But this is funky soul surely – showing its teeth from the off with syncopated drums and epic horns and a sung hook about being on top of the world? Hold on a second – that’s a beefed-up sample of an old northern soul favourite off the Popside label isn’t it? And here’s our Daemon turning up after 16 bars, hungry for mic action! Our man has rocked it with Killer Mike, DJ Shadow and Trackstar The DJ and had music featured TV shows such as Power, The Last O.G., Inventing Anna, and Ghosted as well as on XBox game Forza Horizon 5. I can see why. Tell me there will be a 45 of this!
