The latest from the Tru:Funk label is this drop See You On The Floor from Tru:Funk crew member Chudy. On it he neatly sidesteps the breaks/ ghetto funk cheese trap which is no mean feat given that he delivers four super disco breakin numbers with an eighties and even nineties (Keep The Beat for example) flavour at times. His four tracks come in the company of five remixes from the likes of (deep breath) Kid Stretch, Twister, The Gemini Bros, Badboe, B-Side and Cez14. There’s got to be something in that lot to make you shake your booty and personally I’m down with Kid Stretch’s b-boy breaks version of Keep The Beat and Cez14’s funky psychedelic breaks take on It’s What I Do.
