Cheeba’s Latin Bros return with a new 45 and a pair of sureshots that manage to hit Latin, funk, soul, hip-hop and party breakbeat bullseyes all at once. Both cuts are heavy on the Cuban influences with B-side Pablo’s Theme featuring fuzzed-up guitar, parping horns and a heavy line in additional percussion. Reliable banger as it is though, A-side Cuban Shuffle earns its place as the A-side by dint of being an absolutely filthy beast. It’s faster, it’s dripping in wah-wah guitar, there’s heavy scratch action from the off and something changes every couple of bars to keep things electrifying to the end. Why, it’s like a block party in mid-70s Spanish Harlem all by itself. This one’s a limited run of 300 copies and pre-orders are already live with a release date of 1 March. Get on it!
