BACAO RHYTHM & STEEL BAND: Love For The Sake Of Dub

Here’s an early Christmas present then – another new single from Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band with their 55 gallon drum cover of Claudja Barry’s much-sampled 1976 slo-mo disco hit Love For The Sake Of Love. Now entitled Love For The Sake Of Dub, the original track gets wrestled by Bacao into a blissed-out, echoey slice of steel drum funk. Lovely. Which makes a total of four singles this year of course what with their earlier Hotline Bling, Stranger Things Theme and How We Do/ Nuthin’ But A G Thang efforts. Which as previous posts suggested was very strongly indicative of an album to follow. Which is precisely what is following in March when the band’s fourth studio LP BRSB will emerge butterfly-like into early spring sunshine featuring all the above-named tracks and undoubtedly splendid slew of originals besides.
