By way of a taster for Volume 4 of Big Crown Records’ occasional series Big Crown Vaults, which this time around focuses on Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, here’s new single Let’s Grow. Yes, you do recognise that song title – it will of course be Bacao’s version of the Royce Da 5′ 9″ cut (produced by Dilla no less!) which formed one side of a split single with Cocoa Brovaz on a Rawkus Records 12″ release from all the way back in 2000. In the hands of your favourite German steel drum funk outfit, it becomes an instrumental with the original synth topline re-purposed for the pans over some heavy drum-funk crunch. Big Crown Vaults Vol. 4 follows on 2 May on Big Crown Records.
