SMOOVE: Multitrack Reworks Vol. 14 . (Vinyl 12″)

Someone tell the government to put Smoove in charge of re-nationalising the UK rail network – there won’t be any of that, “We’ll still let private companies do the rolling stock so they can carry on scamming the public” nonsense from him. But what evidence of his rail prowess is there on his CV? The speed at which he rolls out Multitrack Reworks is the answer! While a successful British government re-nationalisation comes at you like a rail replacement bus service with one bus a day and that with a faulty engine, Smoove’s service delivers new 12″s at the speed of a bullet train – and here’s Vol. 14 a mere fortnight or so after Vols. 12 and 13. Getting supercharged for the dancefloor this time are Gladys Knight & The Pips’ Taste The Bitter Love, Dexter Wansel’s classic break-tastic Theme From The Planets, Talk Talk’s It’s My Life and Donald Byrd’s Lansana’s Princess. Thinking about it, perhaps Smoove should be in charge of the switch to a non-fossil-fuel economy and a re-nationalised water industry to boot!
